Have your children pray, using the holy words that you have taught them: those confident prayers will rise to God and will not remain unheard. Have the elderly and sick pray, so that they may offer their sufferings in union with the sufferings that Our Lord suffered on the Cross when he shed His Precious Blood for Our Redemption. Have young ladies and women pray, so that they turn to her who is the model of purity and motherhood. And you, men, must also pray: your courage, your honor and your boldness will be refreshed and strengthened. All of you, take up this spiritual weapon, before which Satan and his minions retreat furiously, because they fear the Most Holy Virgin, she who is Almighty by Grace, even more than Almighty God.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò

Lord Jesus Christ, You told us to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God what belongs to God. Enlighten the minds of our people in America.

May we choose a President of the United States, and other government officials, according to Your Divine Will.

Give our citizens the courage to choose leaders of our nation who respect the sanctity of unborn human life, the sanctity of marriage, the sanctity of marital relations, the sanctity of the family, and the sanctity of aging.

Grant us the wisdom to give You, what belongs to You, our God. If we do this, as a nation, we are confident You will give us an abundance of Your blessings through our elected leader. Amen.

‘Election Prayer’ by Servant of God, Father John Anthony Hardon, S.J.

It is a source of deepest sadness and pressing pastoral concern that the private opinions reported with so much emphasis by the press and attributed to Pope Francis do not correspond to the constant teaching of the Church, as it is expressed in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, and is guarded, protected and interpreted by the Magisterium. Equally sad and concerning is the turmoil, confusion, and error they cause among the Catholic faithful, as is the scandal they cause, in general, by giving the totally false impression that the Catholic Church has had a change of course, that is, has changed its perennial teaching regarding such fundamental and critical questions.

Father Mitch Pacwa's homily for October 21st

An important term that keeps both readings together is that of being a steward; oikonómos, in Greek. We can recognize the word economy comes from that. Oikonomía referred to all the inhabited region of the world. The oikonómos has this duty as a steward within that world to serve the Lord St. Paul speaks of […]

Father Mitch Pacwa's homily for September 30th

Today is the feast of St. Jerome. One of my favorites because he is the Patron Saint of Scripture scholars. I also find great hope in him because even though he was really cranky, he still got to be a saint. He gives me hope. His own life began in what is today–I am not […]

WQPH continues to stand by the authenticity of the message as being from Sister Agnes. A reader writes us: How […]
