Plenary indulgence available on Divine Mercy Sunday

April 26, 2019

“I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My mercy.”

– Jesus to St. Faustina (Divine Mercy in My Soul / entry 1109)

Do not miss this exceptional grace available to all Catholics on the Feast of the Divine Mercy, this Sunday (4/28).

To obtain the plenary indulgence, which is a remission of the WHOLE PUNISHMENT due to sin, a Catholic must…

  • Be truly repentant and go to confession
  • Be entirely free from affection for venial sin
  • Receive communion on the Feast of Divine Mercy (this Sunday, April 28th)

The indulgence can also be earned for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, who are so often forgotten as they suffer purification from sins before they are able to see God.

This indulgence is officially recognized by the Church, and among the easiest to obtain as a profound statement of the availability of God’s mercy to us, even now, when the whole world is steeped in sin.
