My grandfather had a special devotion to St. Joseph. He carried with him the St. Joseph prayer which he would hand out to anyone who seemed receptive to it, regardless of their faith or lack thereof. (Photo credit: “Battle of Dak To, November 1967” – by Gilles Caron)
Almighty Ever-living God, who assumed the immaculate Virgin Mary, the mother of Your Son, body and soul, into heavenly glory, grant, we pray, that always attentive to the things above, we may merit to be sharers of her glory, through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
As we offer our oblation to Your majesty, O Lord, may we draw near in these mysteries to Jesus, The Mediator of the New Covenant, and celebrate anew the sprinkling of His blood, in which lies all our salvation, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
