Catholic Radio serving Shirley-Fitchburg MA and the world.

If we have never sought, we seek Thee now;
Thine eyes burn through the dark, our only stars;
We must have sight of thorn-pricks on Thy brow,
We must have Thee, O Jesus of the Scars.
The heavens frighten us; they are too calm;
In all the universe we have no place.
Our wounds are hurting us; where is the balm?
Lord Jesus, by Thy Scars, we claim Thy grace.
If, when the doors are shut, Thou drawest near,
Only reveal those hands, that side of Thine;
We know to-day what wounds are, have no fear,
Show us Thy Scars, we know the countersign.
The other gods were strong; but Thou wast weak;
They rode, but Thou didst stumble to a throne;
But to our wounds only God’s wounds can speak,
And not a god has wounds, but Thou alone.

Joseph Kung: Defender of the Roman Catholic Church in China

I love my country and I’ve defended it in some of the worst places in the world.

Sometimes, people in the government, bureaucracy takes over and you get bad actors in there and things like this happen, and they should never happen to law-abiding citizens.

I think about some of the operations we ran, and I’ll just give you a couple: the case of US versus Pablo Escobar, or the United States versus Osama Bin Laden. You know, I was in a unit that was chasing those clowns for years. And this government saw it fit to make it the United States versus Mark Houck for defending his son.

I’m almost speechless, you know? I’m almost speechless. And, quite frankly, I’m disgusted by those actions.
