Nor’easter a No-Show at WQPH’s bustling Shrove Tuesday Brunch
Deo Gratias and our thanks to all our listeners and supports who braved threat of a much-hyped storm to attend our First Annual Shrove Tuesday Brunch at Slattery’s Restaurant in Fitchburg on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
Our ever-faithful event MC Peter Ingemi was undeterred in his commitment to hosting the brunch. The night before, he was rallying his friends and followers on X/Twitter to pray the General Patton’s Prayer against inclement weather.
The prayer worked and our turnout was around 40 people, many of whom bought tickets on the day of the event.
Guests enjoyed seeing a first-class relic of the Crown of Thorns and an image of the Holy Face (a second-class relic that was touched to the veil of St. Veronica, the Lance that pierced the side of Jesus, and to a piece of the True Cross), and heard a talk by Holy Face devotional apostle Mike Petrosh, all while dining on Slattery’s fine cuisine.
Between tickets and items sold, the success of this event will help WQPH continue steadfastly to serve you the faithful programming you expect from us.
Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to restrain these immoderate rains with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for Battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory, and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies and establish Thy justice among men and nations.
