Their blood adorns
The risen Lord
Spilled from hearts of love

The moon occludes the sun
Tears like rain
Fall from souls
Who look for the kingdom
How long
Lord
Must time draw on
Without your face to look upon?
We see the shadows
Drawn like swords
The hour itself marches towards
What council for the sorrowful?
My Lord
Have you forsaken us?
In great pain
We wait
We wait
Then
From the ground
The answer comes
Sprung from the blood
Of martyrdom
In the midst of darkest night
Rises
Most radiant dawn
